MADISON - The Wisconsin Association of Health Plans is pleased to announce Aspirus Health Plan joined the Association membership effective July 1, 2021.

"We look forward to working with our community-based health plan colleagues to promote affordable, high quality health insurance coverage for Wisconsinites," said Brett Davis, President of Aspirus Health Plan.

"Aspirus Health Plan's local roots and community focus make them a great fit with our membership," said John Nygren, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans. "We are pleased to welcome Aspirus to the Association and appreciate the unique perspective Brett brings as a former Wisconsin Medicaid Director."

The Wisconsin Association of Health Plans is the voice of 12 community-based health plans that provide health insurance coverage in every county of the state to individuals, employers, and government programs. Association members collectively fully-insure more than 1.1 million Wisconsin residents.

Aspirus Health Plan is a Wausau-based company that offers Wisconsinites a more cost-effective choice for health care coverage for individual consumers and businesses in 20 counties throughout Northcentral and Northern Wisconsin. Beginning in 2022, Aspirus Health Plan will also serve the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program, an employer-sponsored program offering group health coverage to employees of state agencies, UW System, UW Hospital & Clinics Authority, and participating local government employers.
